When managing e-commerce operations on Shopee Philippines, understanding the Shopee return/refund shipping fee changes is vital for preserving margins and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Starting July 14, 2025, return shipping fee for returns handled by SPX pick-up/drop-off was adjusted to ensure smoother return process. (1). Forward Shipping Fee (FSF)
Definition: The fee to ship an item from the seller’s warehouse to the buyer.
New Role: Still applies when a return is initiated, but remains unchanged at ₱30–₱40 depending on weight and distance.
(2). Reverse Shipping Fee (RSF)
Definition: The fee to ship the returned item back from the buyer to the seller’s chosen address or warehouse.
New Addition: Now charged to the seller, averaging ₱30–₱40 per return based on similar logistics factors.
⚠️ Note
Forward Shipping Fee (FSF) will apply to sellers only in case of Return/Refund that results in buyer-win and full refund, as well as in-transit return/refund regardless if the solution is Refund-Only or Return & Refund.
Forward Shipping Fee is not a new type of shipping fee. Shopee does not benefit from FSF cost.
In the case of buyer-win and full refund, sellers may still file a Dispute if the Return/Refund is not due to seller fault.

RSF charging remains unchanged from the current setup.
If the Return/Refund case is determined to be the fault of Logistics Partners following an investigation, Shopee will include all applicable shipping prices in the compensation credited to the Seller Balance.
Shipping fee charges will depend on the shipping channel used by the seller to send the parcel and the courier used by the buyer to return the item.
